About Wayback Downloader

Wayback Downloader is an independent website restoration service for owners, businesses and agencies rebuilding sites from the Wayback Machine. We use surviving public pages, images and historical URLs as source material, then reconstruct the agreed website in a format you can use and maintain.

OUR APPROACH

A rebuild guided by the available evidence

Our work starts with evidence. We inspect the original domain, the version you want back and representative internal pages before deciding what can be rebuilt. A readable homepage is useful, but it does not establish whether product pages, articles, downloads or their images survived.

We use that review to distinguish captured content, missing material and features that need a new implementation. You can see the sequence on our restoration process page.

Manual reconstruction addresses details that a raw archive download can leave unresolved: links still pointing to archived captures, missing styles, incomplete navigation and layouts that need adapting to the destination platform. The aim is a usable deliverable with its scope understood.

Businesses can identify their priority pages, agencies can supply a client brief, and developers can specify the required file or editing format. Decisions about extra pages, replacement media and new functionality should be agreed before the build expands.

Choose the format you need

Choose the format around the person who will maintain the site. HTML restoration delivers static pages and available assets for file-based hosting. WordPress restoration creates content that can be managed in a CMS. Elementor restoration suits owners who need to edit page layouts visually.

A new editable build uses the archive as a content and visual reference. It is not an export of the original WordPress database or Elementor templates.

For stores, WooCommerce recovery focuses on captured public products, categories and storefront pages. Current prices, stock, payment configuration and order records need information supplied by the business.

Restoration with a redesign keeps useful historical content while changing the presentation. Shopify and multi-website projects need an individual review. The pricing page compares the published starting packages.

RESPONSIBLE RESTORATION

Clear limits are part of a responsible restoration

Public archives preserve material that could be visited and captured. They do not provide the original private database, hosting configuration, passwords, customer accounts or payment records. Read our recovery scope before treating an archived interface as a complete backup.

We also keep recovery and replacement distinct. A newly configured contact form or checkout can be part of an agreed rebuild, but its original server-side system is not recovered from the page image.

Historical paths and navigation guide URL decisions where usable evidence exists. Preserving an important page path can avoid an unnecessary change for visitors and existing links. It does not guarantee previous rankings or traffic.

Wayback Downloader is not affiliated with the Internet Archive. Archive availability is outside our control, so uncaptured pages and files cannot be promised as recoverable.

Start with the original domain

Send the original domain, a preferred capture or date range, your important pages and the delivery format you need. Mention any backups, exports or images you still control. If several domains are involved, list each one separately.

Use our project enquiry form if you want help deciding what fits. A clear first request lets us discuss a realistic scope before you commit to a platform or package.
